Large size Afghan Ariana Persian design carpet of high quality which has been made by Afghan Hazara Weavers (these rugs have a very similar quality of weave and wool to Afghan "Super Kazak" rugs). This large Afghan Persian design rug measures approximately 245x316cm (8.0½ x 10.4½ft) excluding any fringes - we love the warm colours used in the all over intricate design together with the blue borders in this large rug.  Find out more about Rug Motifs, Symbols & Meaning here.

These carpets are newly made although not so often in Persian designs, they are hand-knotted using tightly spun high quality wool. Ariana Rugs have a short pile with a beautiful sheen, almost like silk which is due to the superior hand spun wool used and the gentle washing process of the rug after it has been woven. The Persian designs of these Afghan rugs are similar to that of the old antique Persian carpets. Patterns have been passed down through the generations, and we are pleased that Afghan weavers are now incorporating these patterns into their designs as they are so attractive and sought after.
