These original Afghan Rugs are traditionally made by Moshwani weavers who are a sub-tribe of the Baluchi tribal group who would migrate through the regions of West Afghanistan. A newly made, great value rug from Afghanistan which measures approximately 119x130cm (3.11 x 4.3ft) - this little rug has such beautiful colours - we love the pretty design too. Nomadic Rugs such as these have multiple weaving techniques/textures in that the background is made with hand-woven weft wrapping soumak kilim weave and other areas are made from a hand knotted wool pile in geometric designs.
