Authentic Afghan Moshwani Rug in warm colours. These original Afghan Rugs are traditionally made by Moshwani weavers who are a sub-tribe of the Baluchi tribal group who would migrate through the regions of West Afghanistan. A newly made, great value rug from Afghanistan which measures approximately 107x124cm (3.6 x 4.1ft) - we love the purples, ochres and blues in this unusual mixed weave rug.

Nomadic Rugs such as these have multiple weaving techniques/textures in that the background is made with hand-woven weft wrapping soumak kilim weave and other areas are made from a hand knotted wool pile in geometric designs.
