Afghan Yakash Kazak Rug made by Afghan Hazara Weavers in Northern Afghanistan. This Afghan rug measures approximately 125x185cm (4.1 x 6.0½ft) excluding any fringes - this is a beautiful one, the colours are very out of the ordinary and the navy blue outlining some of the motifs gives a nice definition within the design of this rug. These rugs feature designs reminiscent of our high-quality "Super" Kazak rugs and offer a cost-effective alternative to their premium counterparts without compromising decorative functionality. Our Yakash rugs are newly made, they are hand-knotted with a wool pile. The designs are Caucasian in origin having first been produced by Armenian weavers in the 1800’s. Patterns have been passed down through the generations. For information on our Rug Underlays look here.
