This traditional pile rug from Turkey is an authentic semi-antique piece and measures approximately 120x192cm (3.11 x 6.3½ft) excluding any fringes. Adana is a large city in southern Turkey which is inland from the Mediterranean, in south-central Anatolia. Being a cotton growing area, Adana has cotton readily available which is often used to weave brightly coloured emblems into some of their weavings - we love this because dyed cotton doesn't fade like wool, so the bright colours always stand out against the wool for many years.
