Oriental Persian Shiraz Tribal Rug from surrounding countryside and villages of Shiraz in southern Persia. This small Hand-knotted pile wool rug measures approx 52x55cm (1.8½ x 1.9½ft) - we love the very warm colours and central pattern in this piece.
These rugs from tribal areas of Southern Persia have geometric designs along with a real rustic essence - generally they have good quality hand-spun wool with earthy or red colours - you often see animals and birds in Shirazi rugs from this area. Such small sized rugs are quite difficult to find these days - they are great for slotting into small spaces!
