Milas Kilim Rug from the environs of Milas in Turkey's Western region - this piece is woven in the flat slit-weave technique and has an unusual repeat niche design in soft colours typical to Milas Rugs.  This unique Kelim rug from Turkey is an authentic semi-antique piece ie c.1960s and measures approx 91cm wide by 144cm long - woven in wool on wool.  Milas is a tobacco growing region and Kilims from this area are often in terracotta, oranges, browns, beige and creams as they use tobacco to dye the wool.
