Afghan Yakash Kazak Rug made by Afghan Hazara Weavers in Northern Afghanistan. This Afghan rug measures approximately 156x205cm (5.1½ x 6.8½ft) excluding any fringes – we love the unusual colours in this rug, it has really stunning bluey grey tones and an interesting pattern with lots of symbols. These rugs feature designs reminiscent of our high-quality "Super" Kazak rugs and offer a cost-effective alternative to their premium counterparts without compromising decorative functionality. Our Yakash rugs are newly made, they are hand-knotted with a wool pile. The designs are Caucasian in origin having first been produced by Armenian weavers in the 1800’s. Patterns have been passed down through the generations. For information on our Rug Underlays look here.
