Large size vintage Turkish hand-woven village made Kilim (Kelim) from Usak - West Turkey. This Kilim is woven in the cicim and zilli weft wrapping technique with wool on a cotton background giving it a soft and pale appearance. This unique Kelim Rug from Turkey measures approx 192x276cm (6.3½ x 9.0½ft) excluding any fringes and is a one of a kind, semi antique rug - we love the extremely soft colours together with the quirky blue elements found at just one end of the rug! The Usak region of Turkey has been famous for many years for its folk art kilim weaving traditions, they still make some new rugs in this region today.
