12011 Persian Tribal Kurdi Gouchan Carpet 226x301cm (7.5 x 9.10½ft)

Pretty vintage Kurdi Ghouchan (Quchan) Persian Carpet from the north east Khorasan Province of Persia, south of the Turkmenistan border. These authentic nomadic, hand-knotted weavings have really lovely soft and shiny wool with fabulous colours, they stand out from the rest!  They typically have geometric Turkoman designs, in some cases not too dissimilar to Baluch designs, and are hand-knotted wool on wool. This Oriental handmade Kurdi Ghouchan Rug measures approximately 226x301cm (7.5 x 9.10½ft) excluding any fringes - we love the nice old nature of this piece, it has a very attractive all over Turkoman elephant pattern and gorgeous strong reds. These Kurdish weavings are semi-antique pieces and have lots of character, they are very sought after and we don't often find them.
