11797 Large Over Size Fine Afghan Ghalmouri Kilim Rug 300x413cm (9.10 x 13.6½ft)

Huge over size authentic vintage Afghan Ghalmouri Kilim - a finely hand-woven and unique rug from central Afghanistan (Kilims can also be known as Kelims). This old traditional Kilim Rug measures approximately 300x413cm (9.10 x 13.6½ft) excluding any tassels - we love the fine weave and deep rich colours in this very large handwoven vintage rug. Typically geometric designs are used and these original Kilims usually come in a variety of earthy colours which can include blue, grey, burnt orange and terracotta, amber and creams and rich browns.  Ghalmouri Kilims are of a fine quality and although appear similar to other Afghan Kilims, Ghalmouri's have a superior wool quality, are much finer woven and hard wearing.
