11606 Small Vintage Turkish Malatya Rug 53x55cm (1.9 x 1.9½ft)

Vintage hand-knotted Turkish wool rug from Malatya, an apricot growing region of Eastern Anatolia. Hand woven - 100% Wool on Wool. These authentic rugs from Malatya tend to have excellent soft and superior wool quality together with bold, simple designs. This one of a kind, traditional rug from Turkey measures approximately 53x55cm (1.9 x 1.9½ft) excluding any tassels - this is a very unusual little rug having a cream background which isn't found so often in vintage Turkish rugs, it is quite old and has a lower fine pile but not worn in any way. See more about Rug Motifs, Symbols & Meaning here.
