Semi Antique Hand-woven in the villages around the Ordu region of Turkey in North East Anatolia - this unusual flatweave Turkish vintage kilim rug is handmade in wool and measures approx 191cm long x 194cm wide (6.3 x 6.4½ft) excluding any tassels (this one is actually wider than it is long) - we love this one, its design is out of the ordinary for Ordu rugs, we love the stripes housing the unique emblems and motifs together with the very beautiful predominant purple mauve colours! See more about Rug Motifs, Symbols & Meaning here.

Ordu is a port on the Black Sea Coast and although an industrial region, is also famous for its hazelnut production and tourism. These authentic Kilims are very quirky with great colours and designs and are normally quite square in shape and are rarely found these days.
