Traditional Khal Mohammedi Afghan runner rug for a corridor, hallway or narrow space - a beautiful finely woven rug with lovely warm colours. These long hand-knotted Afghan Runners are woven using terracotta red toned dyes and generally woven in the Kunduz region of Northern Afghanistan. Newly made, this narrow Afghan Runner Rug measures approx 52x136cm (1.8½ x 4.5½ft) excluding any tassels - we love the bright colours and fine weave in this runner, the design is out of the ordinary.  See more about Rug Motifs, Symbols & Meaning here.

Khal Mohammadi rugs were originally developed by a man named Khal Mohammad who was an expert at producing finely woven, high quality rugs with very good and beautiful natural deep toned dyes, they are still made today and are very popular due to the rich autumnal colouring. 100% hand made with a wool pile; the fringes (warp) are normally grey wool or occasionally grey or off white cotton.
