Khal Mohammedi Afghan Runner Rug for a corridor or hallway - a beautiful finely woven rug with very deep terracotta colours. These hand-knotted Afghan Runners are woven using terracotta dyes and generally woven in the Kunduz region of Northern Afghanistan. Newly made, this narrow Afghan Runner Rug measures approx 67x298cm (2.2½ x 9.9½ft) - we love the fabulous deep colours and the green border colour which changes to a lighter shade at one end of the rug - very quirky - this is not fading but different batches of wool which can create abrash ! Find out about Rug Motifs, Symbols & Meaning here.

Khal Mohammedi rugs are also known as Khal or Khan Mohammadi and were originally developed by a man named Khal Mohammad who was an expert at producing finely woven, high quality rugs with very good and beautiful natural red and terracotta dyes, they are still made today and are very popular due to the rich autumnal colouring. 100% hand made with a wool pile; the fringes (warp) are normally grey wool or grey or off white cotton.
