10688 Small Turkish Kars Mosque Rug 61x101cm (2 x 3.3½ft)

An authentic vintage hand-knotted Turkish Wool Rug from the Kars region of Eastern Anatolia which is handwoven in 100% wool on wool. This one of a kind, traditional rug from Turkey measures approximately 61x101cm (2 x 3.3½ft) - We love the natural colours in this gorgeous wooly little mosque design rug. There is also writing each side but we are unsure what exactly it says, most likely it is somebody's initials!

Rugs from Kars are often recognised by their warm browns, soft pinks and greys, beige, orange and terracotta colour ways and are generally very village looking in that they are not straight or uniform thus giving lots of character and appeal.
