Superior quality Semi-Antique finely woven Persian Hand-knotted Baluchi Prayer Rug.
These Baluchi Rugs are woven in the villages in the eastern Baluchistan region of North East Persia bordering with West Afghanistan.
Traditional rugs with geometric motifs occasionally having fine detailed kilim ends - generally these rugs tend to be woven in smaller sizes only.
Normally wool pile on wool warps and wefts using good quality wool.
Approximately early to mid 20th century - very fine work in prayer design.
Measuring approximately 107cm wide by 144cm long.
As these rugs are semi-antique they may not be in mint condition, some of the fringes may not be perfect (see images), however this is part of the charm of buying an older rug - lots more character!
