One of a kind village made Turkish Kilim Rug from the environs of a town called Ordu, in the north of Turkey's Black Sea Region - this is quite a rare Rug, its hard to find these now. It features very pretty pink and ochre colours (note a minimal stain as show in image, but not very obvious). Woven in the traditional slit-weave technique, the main design is "hands on hips" and it has also been signed "Fatma" by the weaver. This unique Kelim rug from Turkey is an authentic semi-antique piece ie c.1950s and measures approx 102cm wide by 123cm long (almost square) - woven in wool on wool.
Ordu is a port on the Black Sea Coast and although an industrial region, is also famous for its hazelnut production and tourism.
