12022 Fine Afghan Ghalmouri Kilim Rug 155x253cm (5.1 x 8.3½ft)

This Afghan Ghalmouri Vintage Kilim (Kilims can also be referred to as Kelims) is a beautiful and unique one of a kind rug that has been hand-woven in central Afghanistan. We love the classic browns and burnt oranges in this traditional kilim rug that measures approximately 205x293cm (6.8½ x 9.7½ft) excluding any fringes. Typically geometric designs are used and these Kilims usually come in a variety of earthy colours which can include blue, grey, burnt orange and terracotta, amber and creams and rich browns.  Ghalmouri Kilims are of a fine quality and although appear similar to other Afghan Kilims, Ghalmouri's have a superior wool quality, are much finer woven and hard wearing.  Handwoven in wool, 100%. For information on our underlays look here.
