A decorative handmade textile band featuring cotton fragments and velvet sections from Kyrgyzstan (Kirghizistan). This would likely have been used in a yurt to decorate a doorway. These tribal textiles are normally made up from fabric fragments and also feature fine cross stitch hand embroidery. This piece measures approximately 10cm x 229cm - we love the colourful nature of this band together with the interesting textures and metal disc embellishments. It also has a fabric backing.
