12245 Caucasian Saddle Cover 68x72cm (2.2½ x 2.4ft)

Colourful decorative, handmade Caucasian Saddle Cover from the Caucasus - this tribal animal trapping would have been used over a saddle, it has two intentional openings which would have been to used secure it to a saddle.  It is hand knotted a wool pile weave (the same as a rug) with absolutely stunning colours. It could be used on the wall, over the back of a chair or even on the floor.  We fell in love with this little weave, it's something out of the ordinary and quite unique, we love the green in the border and the floral central design. Although this piece doesn't have much age, it isnt new either, but it's condition is like new. This saddle cover measures approximately 68x72cm (2.2½ x 2.4ft) excluding any tassels.
