9383 Small Old Afghan Baluch Rug 54x62cm (1.9 x 2.0½ft)

Quirky old hand-knotted Baluch Rug from Herat environs of West Afghanistan with pale orange/rust background.  Baluch rugs come in many types however they often have richer colours such as reds and terracottas, blues, blacks and occasionally greens and other colours. These rugs are also known as Beluch, Balouch, Belouch, Baluchi, Belouchi.  The designs are geometric but sometimes the prayer niche (Mihrab) or tree of life design can be found.  A semi antique small authentic tribal rug woven on a simple wooden portable ground loom.  This traditional Afghan rug measures approximately 54cm wide by 62cm long.  We don't find these pieces very often, this piece is an old rustic piece so please don't expect perfection!
