An Authentic Afghan Kilim Rug - a unique traditional hand-woven flat weave from Afghanistan (also spelt Kelim rug). Handmade from natural plant and vegetable dyes giving lots of character in the variegation of the colours that are produced by natural dyes. This new wool Kilim measures approximately 155x203cm (5.1 x 6.8ft)  excluding any fringes - we love the strong pattern and colours in this kilim and especially the multiple border design. The patterns used on these flat weave Rugs is that of the Shirvan design which originates from the eastern Caucasus and has been adopted by Afghan weavers for many years.
