Afghan Kilim Rug - a unique traditional hand-woven flat weave from Afghanistan (also spelt Kelim rug). Handmade from natural plant and vegetable dyes giving lots of character in the variegation of the colours that are produced by natural dyes. This new wool Kilim measures approximately 126x186cm (4.1½ x 6.1ft) excluding any fringes - we love the double diamond pattern and pretty colourful feel this rug has. The patterns used on these flat weave Rugs is that of the Shirvan design which originates from the eastern Caucasus and has been adopted by Afghan weavers for many years.
