Original small hand-knotted Red Aq Chah Afghan Rug. This Afghan rug measures approximately 53x65cm (1.9 x 2.1½ft) excluding any fringes - perfect as a door mat!  - we love the central elephant food design in this small red rug. To find out more about Kilim Rug Motifs and their meanings look here.

These Red Aq Chah Afghan rugs are woven using rich red wools and generally woven in Northern Afghanistan in the region of Aq Chah as well as in the border regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan. A 100% newly hand-made wool mat. The fringes (warp) are normally grey wool or grey cotton. These authentic rugs are strong, sturdy and practical and normally feature the traditional "elephant's foot" Bokhara design - they are great value for money.
