Hand-knotted Authentic Baluch Rug from Herat environs of West Afghanistan. This traditional Afghan rug measures approximately 89x127cm (2.11 x 4.2ft) - we love this one, it has a very unusual stylised prayer design and gorgeous brown and green colours. These rustic rugs are often a little wonky in nature so please don't expect perfection - in our view it's part of their charm! 

These Afghan rugs are also known as Beluch, Balouch, Belouch, Baluchi, Belouchi.  Baluch rugs come in many types however they often have richer colours such as reds and terracottas, blues, blacks and occasionally greens and other colours.  Usually these rugs are small to medium in size and are 100% handmade in wool.
