Unique Persian Shiraz Tribal Carpet from the surrounding countryside and villages of Shiraz in southern Persia. These rugs from tribal areas of Southern Persia have geometric designs and have a real rustic essence - generally they have good quality hand-spun wool with earthy or red colours - you often see animals and birds in Shirazi rugs. We really like the city of Shiraz in Southern Persia, it's quite a relaxed place and has small water ways running along the streets to help keep the walkways cool in summer. The Bazaar E Vakil is very interesting being one of the oldest bazaars in the world. Traditional shops and crafts still exist in and around the bazaar such as copper work, selling of spices  and of course, the rug and carpet trade!
