Small hand-knotted Afghan pile rug from Afghanistan measuring approx 45x66cm (1.5½ x 2.2ft) - we love pale background and the navy blue border in this piece.  These small elegant and decorative handmade Afghan Rugs are known as Ziegler, Zeigler, Chobi, Garous or as Sultanabad.  Zeigler refers to the design rather than the people that weave these hand knotted rugs and carpets.

These types of rugs are re-creations of antique Oriental designs and they use wools with attractive colours and tones.
