Finely Hand-knotted Original Baluch Rug from Herat environs of West Afghanistan, also known as Beluch, Balouch, Belouch, Baluchi, Belouchi. This Authentic Afghan rug measures approximately 121x213cm (3.11½ x 6.11½ft) - we love gorgeous design and borders in this rug - please note there is some slight colour run in one of the motifs - not very visible and doesn't detract from the rug - see image no.3.

Baluch rugs come in many types however they often have richer colours such as reds and terracottas, blues, blacks and occasionally greens and other colours. The designs are geometric but sometimes the prayer niche (Mihrab) or tree of life design can be found. Usually these rugs are small to medium in size as they would be woven on simple wooden portable ground looms, they are not often very wide. The wool used on these fine Baluchi Rugs is of good quality with a lovely soft feel and slight sheen.
