Afghan Kilim Rug - a unique hand-woven flat weave from Afghanistan (also spelt Kelim rug). Handmade from natural plant and vegetable dyes giving lots of character in the variegation of the colours that are produced by natural dyes. This new wool Kilim measures approximately 125x172cm (4.1 x 5.7½ft) - we love the pale turquoise background and pretty colours in this rug. Note: this rug is much paler on the reverse. The patterns used on these flat weave Rugs is that of the Shirvan design which originates from the eastern Caucasus and has been adopted by Afghan weavers for many years.  These strong and sturdy authentic kilims are excellent value for money and are extremely popular with our customers  - one of these gorgeous rugs will make a great bohemian addition to your interior!
