10336 Persian Kurdi Gouchan Carpet 174x270cm (5.8½ x 8.10ft)

Classic Kurdi Ghouchan (Quchan) Persian Carpet from the north east Khorasan Province of Persia, south of the Turkmenistan border.  These authentic nomadic, hand-knotted weavings have really lovely soft wool with fabulous colours, they stand out from the rest!  They typically have geometric Turkoman designs, in some cases not too dissimilar to Baluch designs, and are hand-knotted wool on wool.  

This Oriental handmade Kurdi Ghouchan Rug measures approximately 174x270cm (5.8½ x 8.10ft) - a stunning beautiful rug - these are our favourites and not easy to source these days! See the image with the date 1359 (Persian calendar) - there is a very minor small repair as shown in the fourth image but this is normal with vintage pieces and does not detract from the rug in any way.
