One of a kind Tribal Afghan Double Sided Baluch Carpet Cushion Cover - this authentic nomadic pillow cover has fine hand knotted carpet pile on the front and the reverse which is quite unusual - they normally have flatweave kilim on the reverse - all 100% wool - this is a really beautiful old piece - we love the kilim design at the top of the cushion together with the long original tassels.

These were originally handmade storage bags used during the Baluchi tribal migration throughout Afghanistan as well as for general storage purposes - they are semi antique with lots of character and are very hard wearing. This tribal group from Afghanistan are also known as Beluch, Balouch, Belouch, Baluchi and Belouchi.

If you purchase this item unstuffed you will need to sew it up to close it as it is an original piece and the tribes people don't use zips!
